About Me
Who is Nicola?
I am a person centered therapist with experience in working with adults of any gender who have experienced some form of trauma, from childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse, emotional abuse, sexual assault, grief and loss. The impact of trauma is shame, low self-esteem, anxiety, PTSD, self-harm, anger, sadness and isolation.
I will help you to develop coping mechanisms and achieve goals you set yourself. We can also tackle negative thoughts that spring from traumatic events.
I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

I feel passionate about mental health and believe that everyone should have access to therapy, therefore I have reduced my costs and also volunteer in the community to support survivors of abuse.
I am a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychology). I adhere to their Ethical Framework for good practice and also their Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I hold the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and have undertaken many aspects of CPD, specifically including:
